October 2016

Lisa Tavakoli, a WGC member who holds certifications from the Specialty Tea Institute and has an Herbal Apprenticeship Cerification from the RI Center for Herbal and Ecological Studies presented "Culinary Herbs."

Lisa discussed various culinary herbs not only to enhance flavor but also the health benefits.  Lisa gave tips on how to dry, grind and store fresh herbs, and how to look at your cabinet of herbs and make a variety of shakers.

Lisa passed out Herbs de Provence popcorn, Herbal Brainpower Candy and Brainpower Sprinkles for members to try.

Thank you to our head hostess Anne McCarthy and her helpers for a delicious lunch.  Also thank you to Alison Morse for her buffet table arrangement and Kathleen Mitchell for her festive fall table arrangements, and to everyone who brought in items for the horticultural exhibit.
